Dietitians: If you’re looking for a convenient way to get continuing education credits, you’re in the right place..

Real Food for Pregnancy is approved for 35 CEU credits through the Commission on Dietetic Registration.

Yes, 35. Yes, that’s almost half of your CEUs required for your recertification cycle.

Why choose this CEU activity?

CONVENIENT

You can redeem credits from the comfort of your own home. No need to travel or even leave your desk.

COST EFFECTIVE

Priced at less than $8 per credit, it’s hard to find a better deal. Most weekend conferences that require pricey registration fees, travel away from family, and lodging don’t even get you 35 CEUs.

USEFUL

Tired of participating in CEU activities that under-deliver? Real Food for Pregnancy is an evidence-based resource with 934 citations. Many dietitians liken it to a textbook (actually, it is used as a textbook at Bastyr’s esteemed midwifery program). You’ll get practical information you can use in your practice with the science to back it up.

How does it work?

  1. Read Real Food for Pregnancy in whatever format you like (paperback, Kindle, or audiobook).
  2. Purchase the CEUs and complete an 80-question post-test (yes, it’s open book and 100% online).
  3. Boom! You’ve just earned 35 CEUs! Upon passing the post-test, your CEU certificate is automatically issued electronically.

PRICE: $275

FREQUENTLY ASKED QUESTIONS

DOES THE PURCHASE OF CEUs INCLUDE A COPY OF THE BOOK?

No. You’ll need to purchase Real Food for Pregnancy separately. It is available in paperback (my bookshop, Amazon, and many bookstores), ebook (it’s only $8.99 from my bookshop), and audiobook (Amazon/Audible or iTunes).

You may also consider borrowing the book from a colleague, though I suspect you’ll want to have your own copy for your reference library.

WHY DO I HAVE TO TAKE A TEST?

These are CDR’s rules in order to prove that you actually read the book and learned the material. The post test is 80 questions, all multiple choice, and I’ve set it up so you can retake the test if you don’t pass on your first try (for no extra charge).

DO THE CONTINUING EDUCATION CREDITS APPLY TO NON-DIETITIANS?

It depends on your credentialing organization and whether they recognize continuing education credits provided by the Commission on Dietetic Registration. Ask them BEFORE you purchase!

WHEN DOES THIS CEU ACTIVITY EXPIRE?

These continuing education credits are provided by the Commission on Dietetic Registration as a self-study activity. All self-study activities are approved for 3 years. This activity expires on May 11, 2024. In order to receive your CEU credits, you must complete the post-test no later than May 11, 2024.
